2018 ASME E-Fest East

On April 14th, the NC State Student Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) sent their student design team to Pennsylvania State College to compete in the Robot Football Challenge at E-Fest East.  Leading up to the event, the students spent the previous semester building a team of RC robots to compete in a 4-way soccer match against other university teams.

The students fielded a team of 3 robots, and while not winning the competition, the students learned valuable lessons on fabrication techniques and mechatronics. The group looks forward to competing in the Fall International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) after making some adjustments to their designs.
