PREES Electronic Packaging Lab Support Position

PREES ELECTRONIC PACKAGING LAB SUPPORT NEEDED (10hrs/wk@$15/hr)

The Laboratory for Packaging Research in Electronic Energy Systems (PREES, www.PREES.Org) is looking for an undergraduate student to work as a lab maintenance assistant. Preference is given to rising juniors that anticipate having two or more years at NCSU. PREES will also consider graduate students entering a two-year program pursuing the all-course option. The candidate should have good hands-on experience in basic mechanical systems, and will be expected to learn certain processes, such as wire bonding, operating the robotic dispensing system, and 3D SLA printing. Most of the work will include routine cleaning and repair, placing and tracking orders, managing chemical waste, and other tasks as needed. The student will work closely with the Lab’s graduate students and will benefit from the interactions. The hours are flexible within reason adding to 10 hours per week at $15/hour.

If interested, please send resume to Professor Doug Hopkins (DCHopkins@ncsu.edu) in the ECE FREEDM Systems Center. Start is Summer 2021.
