C.H. Cline (Buddy), BSME 1968
C.H. “Buddy” Cline earned his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 1968 from N.C. State. He later earned a Masters of Management degree from Duke University in 1977. A native of Yadkin County he was employed by Carolina Power & Light, later Progress Energy, for 36 years and retired as Vice President, Distribution Engineering and Operations. Mr. Cline was active in his profession and was a licensed Professional Engineer in N.C., S.C., and F.L. He was a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Professional Engineers of N.C. and a charter member and president of the local chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. MAE has been supported by his financial contributions, scholarship endowment and service on the Advisory Board.
