UPDATE: Wake County Issues Stay-at-Home Order

Wake County has issued a stay-at-home order as part of the effort to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The order will go into effect at 5 p.m. Friday, March 27, and includes affiliated cities and towns in Wake County. As an educational institution, NC State is exempt from the order.

NC State has already taken extensive measures in response to COVID-19 to remain open with minimal on-campus personnel. Because of our actions and education’s exemption, we do not anticipate the county’s order will have major additional impacts on NC State’s current operations. However, we are in the process of reviewing the order in partnership with county officials and the UNC System, and will provide more information on any additional changes if necessary.
