Preparing for The Challenges of Tomorrow

The 2018 MAE Graduate Student Research Symposium, held on Thursday March 1st, included poster presentations from more than 70 graduate students from NC State’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Posters are judged by faculty and peers, and students receive recognition for top posters. The goals are to showcase the outstanding quality and diversity of graduate-level research at NC State, in addition to providing students with the opportunity to practice and enhance their communication skills with those outside of their discipline.

The symposium began with a keynote presentation from MAE’s Dr. Kara Peters, who stressed the importance of communicating our work to show the connection between our research and real world issues.
