An Associate Professor at the NC State University Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering has been elected as an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
Dr. Venkat Narayanaswamy is one of only 150 people selected for the AIAA Associate Fellows Class of 2023. According to AIAA President Laura J. McGill, those selected as fellows must be “individuals of distinction who have made notable and valuable contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.”
The selection process for this prestigious fellowship is highly competitive, and only about 17% of the AIAA membership has achieved the status of Associate Fellow.
The AIAA Associate Fellows Class of 2023 will be honored during an awards ceremony at the 2023 AIAA SciTech Forum in National Harbor Maryland the week of January 23, 2023.
