Attention Middle School & High School Educators in North Carolina:
Announcing NIA - NASA - NCSGC Summer Workshops

The National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) in conjuction with NASA Langley Research Center and the NC Space Grant Consortium (NCSGC) will be hosting an educator workshop July 10 - July 23, 2005. The goals of this workshop are to:

  • Convey information about aerospace education and the NIA to teachers in North Carolina;

  • Guide participants in integrating aerospace content into their curriculum;

  • Begin a continuing relationship with teachers who will help shape future workshops and educational endeavors of the NIA.

During the first week, participants will divide their time between NC State University and NC A&T State University for concentrated time to plan the integration of aerospace activities into the upcoming school year. Each participant will spend the second week of the workshop at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. Twenty educators/administrators will be selected to participate in this workshop. Applications are due April 15, 2005.

  • The deadline for application submissions and online recommendations is April 15, 2005.

  • Applicants will be notified regarding the outcome of the application process by April 30, 2005.
