NCSGC Undergraduate Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Up to three participants from each member university of the North Carolina Space Grant Consortium will be selected to compete for scholarships, based on the quality of the proposal (50%), the relevance to space (25%), and the academic achievement of the candidate (25%). The scholarship recipients will carry out research work either during the 2005-2006 academic year (award up to $2,000*) or the summer of 2005 (award up to $4,000*), under general supervision of their advisors. (Note: Taxable Income)

Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be classified as full-time undergraduate students pursuing degrees in engineering or science disciplines of interest to NASA at one of the eight member universities, during the award period.
- Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 grade scale) or greater.
- Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents.
- Research projects should be space or aeronautics related or have a space or aeronautics application. Projects must be conducted under a faculty advisor's supervision at the student's university.
- Applicants are only eligible to receive the same award twice.
