Discussion

Introductions and greetings
No new officers applications since last meeting.
Mitesh Ghelani will be leaving the GSA in the following year to take a role with the Executive Board of the UGSA as the Travel and Thesis Fund Administrator for 2008-2009. James Pearson will be leaving the GSA in the Fall of 2008.

Chris Basciano will be appointed president in the Fall after James Pearson's departure. David Padgett will be appointed Representative in the Fall 2008. Nancy Moore will be appointed the Alternate Representative in the Fall 2008. These assignments may change with any new members for Fall 2008.
Scott Hays volunteers to run the softball game. A schedule is created and a date agreed upon. David Padgett has a SAM's club membership and the food will be obtained from there. Nancy Moore has available coolers for GSA use.
Chris Basciano agrees to sit with James Pearson and learn how to run the poster competition, and will run the poster competition next year in Spring 2009.
David Padgett agrees to investigate the possibility of getting cheaper poster board from and online source.
James Pearson agrees to transfer all GSA files and documents to the new president upon appointment.
A block grant was written and will be submitted to the UGSA for a joint academic event involving the MAE and BME graduate students. Currently waiting for response from the BME group.
Everything is on track for the GSA Spring events.
