Lee Awarded Prestigious NDSEG Fellowship
June 28 , 2008

Mr. William Lee, a Ph.D. student, under the supervision of Professor M.A. Zikry, in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, has been awarded a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship allows the recipients to pursue their graduate studies at whichever U.S. institution they choose to attend. Mr. Lee will be pursuing his studies at North Carolina State University. The National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship is highly competitive and confers high honors upon its recipients. The DoD has awarded approximately 3,000 NDSEG fellowships since the program's inception 20 years ago. Mr. Lee is developing new modeling and experimental techniques related to the extreme behavior of high strength aluminum alloys. The link for the awards is www.asee.org/ndseg .
