Graduate Students Present Research at MAE Poster Competition

This year, participation was excellent with 14 Ph.D. students and 5 M.S. students presenting their research in the MAE Graduate Student Poster Competition on Thursday April 28, 2005. Many faculty, students and staff attended the event and enjoyed learning about the diverse research being conducted in the MAE department. The crowd also enjoyed burgers provided by the student chapter of the ASME and the displays from the Aerial Robotics Club and Wolfpack Motor Sports, which contributed heavily to the overall success of the event.

Four judges rated each poster for both presentation and technical content. The scoring was extremely close, as the quality of all the posters was excellent and all of the presentations were first rate. At the Ph.D. level, there was an exact tie for second place, so a third place prize was not awarded.
