Wolfpack Motorsports Holds Regional SAE Meeting

On Tuesday, February 20, Wolfpack Motorsports hosted the Carolina Regional Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) meeting at the motorsports complex located at NC State's West Research Annex. Seven motorsports teams from North and South Carolina participated: Duke, NC A&T, East Carolina , UNC Charlotte, Clemson, USC, and NC State. Each team showcased and discussed their design goals and ideas for the upcoming 2007 season.
Wolfpack Motorsports is the number one team in the south and consistently ranks in the top ten internationally. They compete annually at the formula SAE competition held in Romeo, Michigan at the Ford Proving Grounds. The competition hosts about 140 teams from all over the world. Wolfpack Motorsports placed 8 th in 2003, 7 th in 2005, and 6 th in 2006.
The Wolfpack Motorsports team is composed of about 25 students. Despite inadequate support in comparison with other teams, their performance is consistently among the top teams in the world. The team's future goal is to rank in the top five and improve their facilities to uphold world-class quality.
