2008-09 ASME Professor Awards

At the close of every academic year, the NCSU ASME Student Chapter votes on yearly professor awards. Below are the awards for the 2008-2009 school year.
The Carnot
This is for the professor who is perfect in every way (Note: Nobody is actually perfect but you get the idea.)
Winner: Dr. Boles

The Square Wheel Award
This award describes the professor whose teaching style is the most unique.
Winner: Dr. Kuznetsov

The Cryptic Messenger Award
This award is for the professor with the “best” handwriting in the department- if you need the Rosetta stone to decipher the blackboard…
Winner: Dr. Seelecke

The Golden Whip Award
This award is for the professor who allows maximum learning through copious amounts of fun homework, then grades with a liquid cooled pen.
Winner: Dr. Howard
The Crankshaft Award
This award is for the professor whose class atmosphere most resembles that of an internal combustion engine…hot, explosive, and lots of friction.
Winner: Dr. Wu
The Teddy Bear Award
To the professor whose voice best eases their students' ears, and possibly their lack of sleep.
Winner: Dr. Eischen
The Impact Award
This goes to the MAE professor who had the most influence on you during college (this award is voted on by seniors only).
Winner: Dr. Tran
