AIAA Student Conference Results

The annual AIAA Regional Student Conference was held the week of April 4, 2004 in Memphis, TN.  The awards banquet was held the night of April 6, and, once again, one of the two senior design groups won first place in the design category. This is the fourth year running that NCSU senior design students have brought home first place in that category.  An aerospace senior, Dave Roberts, also placed second in the paper competition with his paper, "The Analysis of Composite Laminates."  Students returned from the conference on April 7.

The end of the year AIAA presentation and picnic, which showcases the work of the AE senior design students, was held on April 30, 2004.  Presentations were given on campus followed by demonstration flights at Perkins Field in Butner, NC.
