GRADUATE: Overview

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at NCSU offers graduate degree programs in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering .  Master of Science (MS) degrees are offered in both ME or AE either on-campus (thesis or non-thesis) or through Distance Education (non-thesis only).  Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees are offered in both ME and AE .

Admission for graduate study is granted by the Graduate School* upon recommendation from the MAE Department.  The Masters and the Doctoral programs each have their own admission requirements.  An application package* , as well as instructions for applying online* , can be obtained from the Graduate School.
