Course Description

This course focuses on the
manufacturing of composites. Emphasis is placed on proper
component selection in the design of composite parts.

Topics that will be covered
are: classical plate theory, materials properties, and failure
theories.

In
order to meet the special interests of students, additional topics may
include: Micromechanics, repair, plate solutions, and elasticity
solutions.
