  6. A student completing this course will be able to solve problems involving two-body orbital mechanics, earth satellites, interplanetary trajectories, and special topics as time permits, e.g. launch vehicle performance and design, atmospheric entry and atmospheric heating.

    2. Two body orbital mechanics
    3. Orbital position as a function of time

    6. Orbital maneuvers
    7. Interplanetary trajectories
    8. Special topics (as time permits): rocket vehicle dynamics; launch vehicle performance and design; atmospheric entry and atmospheric heating

  12. There will be homework assigned at regular intervals (weekly, in general), 1 project (optional), 2 tests and 1 final exam.

  15. Homework and project deadlines will be enforced. Late homework will not be accepted unless there is a compelling reason (as determined by the instructor) as to why the assignment is late. All assignments must be turned in before the start of class on the due date.
