Organization & Goals
The Center is organized as a cohesive group of researchers
bonded by common problems. The center's activities are those
typical of a university environment with an organization
established to coordinate activities, equipment use and
dissemination of information. All activities support research in the
focal areas of the Center; acoustics, vibration and dynamics.
The Center strives to meet its objectives by:
-
Creating an organized environment in which individual faculty
research contributions combine to form an overall problem
solution.
-
Maintaining state-of-the-art facilities.
-
Conducting studies and programs of research that are
pertinent to industrial and government organizations.
-
Fostering close working relationships with industrial and
governmental organizations on all aspects of the subject areas.
-
Offering graduate level educational programs in noise and
vibration studies, machine dynamics and design, hearing
conservation, and noise and vibration control.
