Newell Rubbermaid’s Supply Chain Management Development Program is a key component of our world-class operational strategy. As part of this two-year program, you will participate in four, six-month assignments in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Engineering, and Supply Chain/Logistics. You will have an opportunity to work with a broad range of products in a variety of environments. Possible roles and responsibilities you may have during the program include: 

• Manufacturing: Supervision, project management, continuous improvement, production planning and scheduling, Business Excellence initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, safety and worker’s compensation, and quality.

• Sourcing: Supplier quality, negotiation, contractual agreements, freight and duty, inventory management, supplier selection, and financial metrics.

• Engineering:  Product testing, conceptual design (industrial design, mechanical design, project design), CAD/CAM, capital projects, process flow, facility layout, TPM, Six Sigma, and SMED.

• Planning/Logistics: Production planning and scheduling, forecasting, logistics, transportation, distribution, distribution center management, and inventory management.

Job Requirements:

• Recent college graduates with a bachelors or masters degree from a 4-year program in Operations, Engineering, Logistics or related field seeking to learn and practice the trade of a consumer products-related business through a fast-paced, high energy, dynamic position.
• 0 – 2 years of full time or part time work or internship experience highly preferred
• Qualified candidates must have a proven record of commitment, ambition and drive toward establishing and achieving goals.
• Candidates must also be able to work as part of a team and have demonstrated leadership ability. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential to this position.
• MDP participants will complete their four rotations in two separate locations and must be able to relocate within the continental United States .
