MAE Departmental Graduation Ceremony - 7:30 PM on Friday, May 9, 2008 in Reynolds Coliseum

Students and guest should arrive no earlier than 6:30 PM, since our ceremony follows another ceremony.

A professional photographer will be at the department ceremony and each graduate will have an opportunity to fill out a card at the West Entrance to be notified if they want to access these pictures.

Student Entrance to Reynolds from West Entrance (doors facing Talley Student Center).  Follow the signs to the West Entrance and check in with Mrs. Medlin when you arrive Students should arrive no later than 7 PM            

            1) Fill out photographer's card

2) Sign in and pick up # card for lineup

3) Find numerical place in line for Dr. Klang to come by and check the correct pronunciation of your name.  

All students walking in the departmental ceremony must wear cap and gown.  Students walking in the ceremony should be signed in and ready to march at 7:15 PM. 

Lineup will be outside unless we have rain, then the lineup will be inside.

Guest Entrance to Reynolds - Front Door facing circle on Dunn Avenue between 6:45-7:15 PM.

Handicap Entrance to Reynolds - East Entrance (doors facing parking deck) - Signs will mark Handicap Entrance.  Special seating will be provided on the floor level for handicap and one other guest to accompany them.

Diploma covers will be handed out at the ceremony and students whose diplomas have cleared may be picked up after the ceremony at the reception.
Students will remain in line marching out of Reynolds after the ceremony, following Dr. Tran and Miss Heeter over to Talley Ballroom.  Students will state their name as they walk by the table, pick up their diploma and graduation gift as they go into the Reception. 

Parents and guests should meet students at the Reception.

Each prospective graduate has been given the opportunity to invite 10 guest.  Students who will be bringing more than 10 guest may reserve more seats. 
There will be no tickets printed for the departmental graduation ceremony, but you will need to be sure you have made reservations for your number of guest so we will be prepared for everyone.

Graduates and guest are invited to a reception after the ceremony in Talley Student Center Ballroom.  Please be sure your parents and guest know about the reception and to meet you there after the ceremony.

Please make sure your parents know about these instructions, to prevent them from needing to call our office between now and Friday.
